Linda Jensen, Paul Cygan, and Linda Larson lived across the way and around the bend from one another in Weatherstone of Inverness, a luxury northwest suburban townhome community. Much to their surprise, they became neighbors for a second time when they all chose to move to The Garlands!
Adding to the irony, within four months of each other the trio selected the same Garlands floor plan, and their new homes are now on the first, second, and third floors in the same southwest corner of The Garlands!
The once horizontal, now vertical, neighbors all worked closely with The Garlands team who helped sell their Inverness homes, pack their belongings, and facilitate three smooth moves.
It all started when Linda Jensen, who was familiar with The Garlands having visited for years, decided that the location appealed to her because it is halfway between two of her children. “I looked at other options in the area, but they just did not offer the space or match up to what they offer at The Garlands.”
Two months later, Linda Larson decided she felt a little isolated in her large townhome. Originally she considered potentially moving to The Garlands in 2024, but as winter progressed, she asked herself, “Why wait!
“The Garlands had all the features I was looking for, and I felt that I could be very independent living here.” Plus, she recalls, “When I walked into my new home, it felt cozy, and I could picture my furniture fitting perfectly.” From there things went quickly.
“Everything just came together so easily.
The Garlands helped make what could be a very harrowing experience very pleasant.”

In the interim, while walking her beloved dog, Maisey, back in Inverness, Linda Larson ran into Linda Jenson. “I congratulated her on selling her home, and that’s when I learned that she was moving to The Garlands too!”
About that time, Paul Cygan, who retired from a career in international operations with International Harvester/Navistar and lived across the backyard from Linda Jenson, decided to explore independent living options. “I wanted a place that offered activities that appealed to men,” an elusive criterion he quickly learned. “After attending a luncheon at The Garlands, I felt I found it.”
He selected a residence that offered a second bedroom, so his daughters could stay with him when they visited, only to discover that his new ideal home was right below his former neighbor.
All three are enjoying the happy coincidence, and both Paul and Linda Larson agree that Linda Jensen has been a big help as they made their transitions. Now the trio jokes about their new vertical neighborhood, calling it “The Garlands Weatherstone Wing.”
